- setting up the Experts' Panel (16 prominent scientists) - developing images, texts - producing the international website - set-up and announcement of national committees and programmes
- 14-18 year old secondary school students collect information from a wide spectrum of sources and make their own contribution within the two categories science and art. They enter the competition in which the national winners are invited to the main event
- central event in Geneva - young winners meet scientists, participate in web cast, compete for SuperPrize - follow-up (report, recommendations)
